Okay, I have been playing Lemmings recently – the original version on the Amiga. I uncovered a few shitty levels that I couldn’t quite figure out right-away, but found they’re very well designed.

Look at this beginning – the goal is one screen to the right, but that’s less complicated – the beginning is the problematic part here. How do I get them over to the right? There’s plenty of abilities to use with the Lemmings – so I started with stairs to get them above the entrance to the metal blocks. But how to get them across the small pond in the middle, to the right-hand side? The height is too big for them to fall safely.
I’ll let one parachute down, have it build stairs until their reach the metal block and then back – that is high enough for them to fall safely into the stairs and walk on — in order for them to move further, I dug through the stairs I just built.
The rest is ladders again:

And we’re done:

Of course I had to do the level twice, because I lost too many Lemmings along the way – not meeting the required minimum rescued percentage:

Another “mean” one, if you’re looking at trying to bring all of your Lemmings into the goal: half-way through the “Tricky” set of levels, you need to get creative with the abilities and make peace with the thought that you have to explode a few Lemmings to save the others – and complete a level. This level was especially mean – it’s the very first level, exactly the same – except that instead of digging down, the only ability you have is the explosion:

The goal is to rescue 60% from 10 Lemmings – so even though you have 5 explosions, you can only use 4. On attempt #2, I managed to “cut through” the ground in 3 explosions:
